Office & Attendance Information

Office Hours: 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Office can be reached via phone at (408) 201-6400.

All visitors must sign in at the fron office and receive a visitor's sticker.  Visitors must wear this sticker for the duration of their time on school grounds.

Occassionally you might need to drop of a lunch for your student.  Please let your student know ahead of time that you will be delivering their lunch. 

You may leave their lunch, with their name on it, outside the office on the small table.  Your student will then come and collect it from the table during their lunch time.

If you are using the circle to drop off or pick up your student, please stay out of the way of the buses.  Have your student exit or enter your vehicle on the right side of the car (next to the sidewalk). DO NOT exit your vehicle. 

Students  should have their bags with them, not in the trunk. Please follow instructions of the teachers on duty and pull up as far as possible.  If you are picking up your student and they are not waiting at the designated spot, you will be asked to circle around again to keep the flow of traffic moving.  

If you are having someone else pick up your student, or if they are going home with someone else, please call the office to let us know ahead of time.  Even if the person is listed on your emergency contact list, you need to let the office know if they are picking up in a non-emergency situation! 

Please notify the office by 8:00 am if your student is going to miss school.  You may call 408-201-6400 x.13104 to leave a message or you may email contrerasv@mhusd.org.  Please leave your student’s name, spelling of name, teacher and reason for absence.  For information on when to keep your child home,  go HERE.

If your student is out ill for three days or more, please bring a doctor’s note to the office to excuse their absences. 

Please note that 3 unexcused absences will result in a truancy.

If your student is late, please bring your student to the offie for a tardy slip.

Please come to the office, sign your student out, and someone from the office will call your student out from class. 

Please be aware that we cannot call a student out from class until you have come into the office and signed them out first. It also may take a bit of time for your student to get to the office, so please plan your time accordingly. 

If someone else is picking up your student, please call to let the office know ahead of time.

 Anybody picking up your student must be on the emergency contact list for your student.
