Together, we can make a difference!
This year at JAMM we will be having Monthly Family Math Meetings and would like to invite you to come to our next meeting this Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:30PM in the library.
At the beginning of each month a topic will be introduced. At home, throughout the month, discuss that topic with your child(ren). At the end of the month we will get together and share our math discoveries and discussions!!
Studies have shown what you say to your child (or in front of your child) about mathematics, matters. If we work together to help your child develop a positive math mindset, their math skills will also improve! One way to do this is by increasing math discussions and awareness in all areas of life. The attached link provides additional examples. Math skills at home
October Topic: Measurements
Our October math topic is "Measurements." Discuss with your students what you measure and how you measure it- ingredients for cooking, items for home projects, etc.

Help make this the best Fun Run yet
The Fun Run is our largest fundraiser of the year. Students participate by collecting donations and then walking, running and sometimes even dancing around our festively decorated JAMM pumpkin course.
Here's how you can help!

Donate online: You can sponsor a student or donate directly by going to: https://jahsc.ejoinme.org/
Matching funds: Your donation is 100% tax deductible and many employers will match your donation. Check with your employer to find out if this benefit is available to you.
Donate prizes: Students have an opportunity to win prizes based on how much money they collect. Donations for prizes, such as gift cards, electronics and toys, would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Maribel Graham at email@example.com to find out what items are needed.
Advertise your business: Advertise your business for the entire year on our Fun Run banner. Contact Maribel Graham at firstname.lastname@example.org
